Carved

These are South Pacific shark teeth that have a unique color with a pure white center. They come from the South Pacific Ocean 800 miles east of Australia on an island called New Caledonia. They are dredged from a 1000 ft down using a scoop 2 meters wide. The boat used for this operation is the TUI 2 and they use a scoop that is dragged for 30 min. They did approximately 5 passes in a day and would catch approximately 15 -140 teeth at pass.  The site is now protected by the French government and there won't be anymore issuing of permits due to environmental issues.
